John E. Reid

John Eugene Reid was born May 13, 1959 in Orrville, Alabama to Andrew Reed Sr. and Rosie Mae Reed.

He confessed Christ at an early age and joined The First Baptist Church in Orrville, AL.  He graduated from Keith High School (Class of 1978). He was employed at Washington Street Supermarket for more than 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents: Andrew Reed Sr. and Rosie Mae Reed.  Brothers: Joe James Evans, Andrew Reed Jr., and Jimmie Reed Sr. He is survived by 2 sisters: Flora Mae Scott of Montgomery, AL and Cathryn Young of Orrville, AL.3 brothers: Curtis Reed of Detroit, MI, JC Reed of Selma, AL, and Lee Curtis Rayford (Alfreda) of Orrville, AL.  Aunt: Lula Mae Smith of Selma, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 12 PM in the Chapel of Ashley's JH Williams Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow in Lincoln Cemetery.
