Dottie S. Eaton was born March 17, 1958 to the late Clarence Carter and Magdalene Davis. She accepted Christ at a very young age and continued her personal relationship with the Lord
throughout her life. On Monday, February 13, 2023, Dottie answered the Master’s call and transitioned from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her mother, Magdalene Davis; brother, Mose Robinson; and grandson, Di’Marje Eaton.
She leaves loving memories to: five children, Devon Carter, Wilhamenia Hatcher (Celister), Washaundra McNeil (Hadrian, Sr.), Shanavya Johnson (Marcus), and Desmond Eaton; seventeen grandchildren, Devarius Lee, Destiny Carter, De’Gregory Lee, Johncephius Gunn, Jarcell Gunn, Charlie Gunn, Le’Quan Washington, Edwaun McNeil, Hadrian McNeil Jr., David McNeil, Da’Marcus Johnson, Donovan Caldwell Jr., Donye’ Caldwell, Marcus Johnson, MacKenzie Johnson, Desmond Eaton II, and Alana Eaton; three sisters, Tauheedah Hasan, Mary Grimes, and
Peggy Carter; a lifetime friend, David Lee Woods; a lifetime daughter, Cynthia Lee-Price; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The homegoing celebration will take place Saturday, February 18, 2023 1PM at Potters Place Church. Interment will immediately follow in Lorenzo Harrison Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday February 17, 2023 from 8am-7pm. A family hour will be held friday evening from 6pm-7pm at Ashley’s JH Williams Chapel.
