Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith was born December 29, 1938, to Mrs. Bernice Adams and the late Mr. Samuel Adams Sr. She departed this life on February 14, 2023, at 10:23 p.m. Mrs. Ethel confessed
Christ at an early age and joined Greater New Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Ethel was preceded in death by: A loving father Samuel Adams Sr., a daughter Deloise Smith, a granddaughter: Taffine Smith Berry, a special aunt Emma Showers, and a grandmother Eva Showers.
Ethel leaves to cherish her memories: her loving mother Bernice Adams; four daughters: Carolyn Lee, Wanda Smith, Barbara Smith, and Regan Smith; Two sons Tony Smith and Terry (Regina) Smith; Siblings Nettie Smith, Bonnie (Johnnie) Britton, Darlene Adams, Howard Adams, Willie Adams, Azie Smith, Samuel Adams Jr., Henry Hayes, and Harold Hayes; 14 grand-children, 29 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; two special friends: Betty Finney and Sam Glover; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place Saturday, February 25, 2023 12 Noon at Blue Jean Selma Church. Burial will immediately follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens. Family hour will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 6-7 in the chapel of Ashley's JH Williams Funeral Home.
