Inez B Thomas

We regretfully announce the passing of Mrs. Inez B. Thomas, resident of Selma, AL. Graveside services will be held Saturday December 26, 2020 at 12 Noon at Pineview Memorial Gardens. 

Mrs. Inez B Thomas was born October 30, 1956 in Marion
Junction, AL to the late Horne Brown, Sr., and Ruby Brown.
Inez was a faithful member of Tabernacle of Praise Church.
Inez departed this life December 17, 2020 at Vaughn Regional
Medical Center.
Inez was a graduate of Keith High School Class of 1975. She
received an Associate of Science from Selma University,
Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, BS in Education
from Alabama State University, Master’s Degree in School
Counseling from Alabama State University, Education
Specialist Degree in School Counseling from the University
of West Alabama.
Inez was a devoted educator for 20 years with the Dallas
County School System. Inez taught at Tipton Middle School
for her entire tenure until she retired in April 2019. While
teaching Inez impacted many lives, including both her
students and co-workers.
Inez was proceeded in death by her father, Horne Brown Sr.,
her brother, Howard Brown, and her great nephew, Darius
Patterson.
Inez leaves to cherish her loving and devoted husband, Frank
James Thomas; children: Gabriel C. Brown, Sherita Brown,
Darius Mitchell, India Thomas, and Rashidah Edwards;
Grandchildren: Caleb J. Brown, Caydon E. Brown, Cody E.
Brown, Asia Leech, Christopher A Harris Jr, Micah J. Brown,
and Rashid A. Harrison; a loving mother, Ruby L. Brown; ten
sisters and brothers: Jeanette Cattlin, Yvonne Cureton,
Mildred (George) Thomas, Caroline Brown, Walter Brown,
Horne Brown, Jr., Loretta Brown, Jenice (Reese) Shanks,
Samuel (Shequavia) Brown, Carolyn (Ricky) Roy. Four
uncles and aunties; Cora Blevins, Willie Mae Bennett, Marie
Blevins and Tom Blevins, Jr.
And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and close friends.  Ashley's JH Williams & Sons Funeral Home extends our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire Thomas and Brown families.
