Mrs. Julia Elaine Watts Sykes was born September 15, 1968 to the late Willie and Ethel Watts. Julia confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church . Mrs. Julia departed this life February 27, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital.
Julia was preceded in death by her parents: Willie and Ethel, her son: Markus Watts, sisters: Willie Mae, Geraldine, and Mary Lois Watts. A special friend: Vonnintie Shelton, and her godson: Steve'Terris Stubbs.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children: son, Julius (Shonte) Watts, daughters: Shemika and Karlecia Watts all of Huntsville, Alabama. Seven grand-children: Ma’Kenzie, Ma’Kiyah,MaKennedy, Jashiya, Karshiya, Shaniya and Julius Jr.; Estranged husband: Nathan Sykes;
Brothers: Earnest (Reneva) Watts, Woodrow (Evanda) Watts, Robert (Keisha) Watts all of Selma, AL, Albert Watts of Columbia, SC; Sisters: Lola Hill and Michelle Watts of Selma, AL.
A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral service will take place Saturday, March 8, 2025 1PM at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow in Miller Memorial Garden. The caring and compassionate staff
