Ruby (Nelson) Kimble

Ruby Kimble, age 89 was born in Selma Alabama on January 30, 1935, who loved to be called “Dia” by her children, family and friends. She departed her loving family on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. Her parents were Paul Nelson and Emma Solomon. Ruby was mother to Samuel L Harris, Georgia Taylor, (deceased)Lawrence and Willie. She raised her children with love and devotion in (Boston Mass)

As a Nursing Assistant with VA, Ruby was known for her compassion, willingness to help anyone, friendly kind heart. Her hobbies were gardening, listening to soulful music, walking and spending time with her cats. She was most proud of the work that she did at the VA with the patient. She was commitment to fellowship and serving the lord. She is survived by her brother Lenny and sisters Dolores, Trish, Paula and Darlene, two children son Samuel and daughter Georgia, Grandchildren Twanya, Tanya Samuel Jr and Charisse, Kendra Selena, 6 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Ashley Funeral Home on Wednesday January 24, 2024 at 11:00am. The family be will flying the body to Boston for a small burial service at (TBA)
