Sarah L. Beaver

Sarah Lee Beaver, born on September 1, 1929 in Boguechitto, Alabama passed away on August 12, 2024 at age 94. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sarah worked in private homes, a cigar factory and retired in 1991 from A&M Laundry after thirty-three years of service.

Sarah was a member of the Phillips Grove Missionary Baptist Church for over fifty years but enjoyed attending services at different churches in the area. Sarah a breast cancer survivor loved flowers, traveling and watching baseball and game shows. Especially, Family Feud hosted by Steve Harvey.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Beaver; sisters Willie B., Ethelrine, Bessie, Zubia, brother Lewis “Bay Junior" her beloved daughter Brenda Blackmon Prince-Davis.

 Sarah is survived by her son; Alfred Blackmon (Georgette) of Selma, AL; sister: Geraldine Smith (Dillard)of Cincinnati, OH; Grandchildren Mark, Curtis "Keebie", Renee, Thurston, LaShae, Adria "Dee", Voris, Veronica "Ronnie, LaToya ; 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces and many loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 from 8am-6pm at Ashley's JH Williams. The homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, 12 Noon at Phillip Grove Baptist Church. Interment will immediately follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens. The compassionate staff and management at Ashley's JH Williams & Sons Funeral Home extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire Beaver family.
