Vincent Rogers

Vincent Rogers, native of Orrville, AL. transitioned on April 4, 2024. Vincent Rogers, a cherished son, brother, father, and friend, bid farewell to this world to embrace the next chapter of his journey. Raised by his beloved deceased grandmother, Ola B. Rogers, of  Orrville, Alabama, and his mother, Barbara Willis, in Petersburg, Virginia, Vincent's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Vincent's artistic flair and love for music were not just hobbies, but a testament to his creative spirit and passion. An easy-going person by nature, he approached life with a gentle spirit and a kind heart, touching the lives of all who knew him.  He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Vincent's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his children: daughter Shaakia Nicole Rogers and son Vincent Rogers Jr., both of Newark, New Jersey. His surviving family members will dearly miss his nurturing presence: his devoted mother, Barbara Willis; his brothers, Rev. Dr. William Willis of Petersburg, Virginia, and Gregory Hunter of Long Branch, New Jersey; his sister Felicia Parish Willis of Oxon Hill, Maryland; as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his extended family in New Jersey. Vincent was blessed with the friendship of Shirley Newell, a loyal and trusted friend from New Jersey, who brought companionship and joy to his life. During this time of grieving, the family is deeply grateful for all the love and support from family and friends. Your calls, text messages, and emails have been a source of comfort and strength, reminding us of the love and care that surrounds us during this difficult time. Your support is truly appreciated and valued.

Vincent's departure marks the end of an era, but his spirit remains eternally vibrant in the lives he touched. As we bid him farewell, let us find solace in our shared memories and the love that will forever endure. Rest in peace, Vincent, knowing you are forever cherished and remembered.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 from 8AM-5PM. A family hour will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 from 5PM-6PM. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11AM in Fulton Cemetery, Orrville, AL. The professional staff and management at Ashley's JH Williams extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire Rogers family.
