Waike “Mack” Hopkins, a devoted father, brother and friend. He was born on June 3, 1975 to the late Bettie Hopkins. On November 29, 2023, he gained his wings and entered into eternal rest.
“Mack” recommitted his life to Christ. He was baptized and joined the Selma Community Bible Church.
Waike was preceded in death by his mother, Bettie Hopkins. He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Janel Mitchell and Deja Hopkins; two sisters, Shonda (Jimmie) Hood of McCalla, AL and Crystal Hopkins of Prattville, AL; one brother-in-law, Jimme Hood; three uncles, Joe Lee Hopkins, William Hopkins, and Marcus (Janice) Hopkins, all of Selma, AL; three aunts, Mary (Reginald) Jones of Montgomery, AL, Carolyn (Willie) Kelly of Phenix City, AL, and Evelyn Collins of Selma, AL; one niece, Crysette Hopkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 8AM-6PM. A family hour will be held Friday evening from 6PM-7PM at Ashley's JH Williams Chapel. The homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 1PM at Potter's Place Church. Interment will immediately in Lorenzo Harrison Memorial Gardens. The compassionate staff at Ashley's JH Williams extends our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the entire Hopkins family.
